Tagging Sessions
Arisia takes a lot of stuff to run the con. Much of this stuff lives at our storage facility in Haverhill. The Logistics crew is responsible for getting that stuff into the hotel so that you have it to use for your area. However, we don't necessarily know what your area actually needs _this year_, and if we don't know it is needed, IT WILL NOT GO TO THE CON.
So each year, Logistics schedules a series of tagging sessions where each department that has stuff in storage can tag it to go to the con (and make sure it gets to the right place). If you are a department head, and you expect to use *any* equipment that Arisia possesses (rather than equipment you bring yourself, or that the hotel will provide, or that you otherwise arrange to be provided), then you need to do one of the following three things, in order of preference:
- attend a tagging session and put the appropriate tag on your Stuff
- send a staff member to a tagging session
- contact your division head and ask for help
The stuff we actually use each year does change, so if you don't tag stuff for transport, Logistics will *not* bring it just because it has last year's tag. Tags will be on the wheeled shelf near the door; please use the appropriate tag for your area if there is one, and use the "Misc" tag otherwise. All tags will be marked with either a square for the high (Grand Ballroom) side of the hotel or a circle for the low (Harbor/Galleria) side. Areas such as Tech, which might have Stuff going to both sides of the hotel should be careful to tag appropriately.
